Brett Anderson
Brett serves as the CFO & Finance Practice Leader of Horizon Five and has 25 years of finance & operations experience across multiple industries while working for some of the world’s most iconic companies.
Brett began his career with General Electric as a member of the Financial Management Program (FMP) and Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) leadership development programs. He has held various CFO roles over the past 15 years, his last with Stanley Black & Decker’s Tools division as the global finance leader for eCommerce & Customer Experience. Most recently Brett started his own consulting firm in 2023 helping businesses transform how they work and unlock value.
In 2019 Brett assumed a new role as V.P. Enterprise Data & Strategic Insights with the Performance Resilience CoE of Stanley Black & Decker and found his passion for data and analytical transformations. In this role he created a strategy to democratize data and empower over 800 employees with data accessibility and modern tools to innovate how they worked and created value with insights. This result was achieved in parallel with a complete enterprise data strategy, aligned with execution within a democratized tech stack focusing on upskilling employees and turning data into value.
Brett is based in Green Bay, WI and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance & Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He later earned an Executive Certificate in Global Supply Management from Clarkson University. Brett is blessed to have two wonderful children, McCullan and Ireland, and his fiancé, Natalie. Outside of work, Brett spends his time with family and friends and loves music, theatre, traveling & being on the water.
